This lighthouse was built in 1839 at the Cape of Struga, in the central part of the southern side of the island of Lastovo, at the entrance into the bay called Skrivena luka. Lastovo is a poorly populated island situated 55 NM from Split and Dubrovnik. It is 5 km to the small town of Lastovo and 15 km to the port of Ubli.
The island is surrounded by numerous islands, cliffs and lagoons. Its sea is rich in fish, especially lobsters. The lighthouse is located 70 m above the level, at the very edge of a steep cliff from which there is a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The building has one 4-bed apartment and one 5-bed apartment. Access to the lighthouse is possible by a dirt road. As there is road connection to the villages on the island, guests can buy provisions. Transfer to the island is possible by ferry from Split.
Near the lighthouse on the northern side of the peninsula there are centennial pinewoods which can be reached in 15 minutes. There are picturesque cliffs on the south side of the island. The great sea depths under the cliffs are good for fishing. Many varieties of fish and crab can be caught.

The lighthouse was built in 1875 on the island bearing the same name and located in the middle of the Adriatic Sea, between the Italian and Croatian coast. It is the most remote Croatian island and lighthouse. It is situated 68 NM to the south of the town of Split and 26 NM to the south of the Island of Lastovo. The newly renovated lighthouse Pločica is situated on the island of the same name between the islands of Hvar and Korčula, and the Pelje¨ac peninsula. This spacious lighthouse, consisting of two large apartments and two kitchens, can accommodate a larger number of guests. One of the apartments can accommodate 6 people, while the other can accommodate 8 people. Each apartment has two bathroom facilities.
Due to the large number of guests that the lighthouse can accommodate, Pločica is ideal for a larger group that would like to spend their holiday swimming, sun tanning, scuba-diving and relaxing.
